I'm Courtney and I'm so happy you're here. This blog a journal about my family, CMP, and photography education. Stay a while and say hello!
I had so much fun with Reagan and her beautiful family during our in home newborn session in Greenville, SC. Despite the fact it was a beautiful, sunny day, the nursery light was a little dim, and this session was shot using FLASH! If that surprises you – good! That’s the point 🙂
Sweet Charloote Grace came to the studio to commemorate her first birthday! I loved having her in for her heirloom portrait, and my “lifestyle add-on” offering, which is truly the best of both worlds.
Harper! What a sweet little sugar! We had so much fun in the studio capturing her to commemorate her first birthday.
It seems like just yesterday I was photographing sweet River for is in home newborn session, and now he is a big brother!
I had the honor of capturing the third baby girl for this sweet family earlier this year. In additional to capturing Emery in beautiful photographs for a Fresh 48 session, I put together a keepsake video for their family to enjoy. This is one I know will truly tug at the heartstrings as this sweet […]
Ella came in ALL simles for her heirloom portrait session with me. I had to work harder for a serious expression than I did for a smile from this sweet girl. She was such a happy little lady!
Beautiful Vivion! I loved having this sweet girl in the studio. I photographed her when she became a big sister last Fall, and it was so special to get some one on one time with her for her very special 3 year portraits.

(and hint: every image in this post was […]
This lifestyle newborn session was shot using off camera flash! If this suprises you – then good! Mission accomplished. I’ve been using flash for over four years now, and it’s my secret weapon for consistency. Not a fancy preset, not specific wardrobe or weather conditions – just my flash unit and the unique way I use it to create a natural light look.
Nash was a little hesitant of the camera at first, but once he warmed up he was ALL smiles! I loved photographing his joyful, oh so precous personality. A lot of little ones need a few minutes to warm up to the camera, which is natural and age appropriate, but we usually have so much fun together that they don’t want to leave when their sitting is over!
Eliza! She’s as joyful in person as she is in these beautiful heirloom portraits. Mom walked in and was so thankful we got a rainy, humid day for portraits because it made her precious curls SHINE! That’s the beauty of using studio lights… rain or shine, we get gorgeous portraist.
