what is Lifestyle photography?
Lifestyle photography is a style of portraiture that aims to capture images rich in story and emotion. It is people and connection focused, and aims to capture it’s subject as authentically is possible.
What's the best age for portraits?
I recommend ages 1-4 as the most ideal ages for portraits, but have photographed children as young as 9 months, and as old as 12 for these special heirloom pieces!
What types of newborn sessions do you offer?
CMP specializes in studio newborn sessions, as well as in home lifestyle sessions, and on location hospital Fresh 48 sessions. Please inquire for complete details!
where is your studio located?
The CMP Studio is located in the heart of Greenville, SC about 1.5 miles outside of downtown Greenville. We are close to many local restaurants and amenities, and easy to access from I-85.
When should we book our newborn session?
Most families book their newborn session early in their second trimester. This helps me ensure I plan my schedule appropriately, and have plenty of availability around your due date.
What should we wear?
I send all of my clients pre-session detailed planning information, which includes tips for choosing clothing that photographs well, as well as tips for coordinating outfits among your family.
Do you offer mini sessions?
CMP offers two annual session events - a Mother's Day event in Spring, and a holiday session event in the Fall. These sessions are reserved for past clients as a thank you for investing in the big moments!
When do newborn sessions take place?
Because of the simple and natural style of these sessions, we can capture your new family anytime from birth to three months! My typical recommendation is anytime from one to four weeks after your newborn arrives. There are no “rules,” however, as you often hear about for older babies. It’s never too late to capture this sweet time in your life!
