I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet family on a warm Spring day in downtown Greenville. Falls Park is one of my favorite places to take pictures, but it is also one of the trickiest, as it gets incredible busy on the weekends and in the evenings. This particular Monday afternoon, however, was absolutely perfect, and we had a great time exploring the park and stopping for pictures along the way.
Baby Zeb is just three months old here, and such a little stud. We didn’t get too many smiles out of him, but he still managed to look absolutely adorable. They also brought along the grandparents for a few snaps, making this session even more special.

I had the honor of photographing Miss Isabella Grace at just 5 days old. This session was particularly special to me, because this little babe was present at my own daughters birth just a few months ago. How can that be? Because her mama is the incredibly talented Sabrina Fields, who was our birth photographer for James’ arrival. Isabella was nestled safe in her mamas belly for the 15 hours Sabrina was with us to document her James’ birth – how cool is that!?
Logan was the last babe I photographed in the hospital before welcoming my own daughter, and let me just say that after my own hospital experience, I have a new perspective on these precious sessions! Bless you mama’s who let me into such a life changing moment. The days in the hospital are blurry, at times overwhelming, and incredibly exhausting, but the sweetness and that falling in love feeling you have for your new baby are far greater than anything else.
What a humbling experience it has been to become a mother. Being a photographer that documents so much of motherhood and family life has been such an honor and gift to me since my humble beginning in the Fall of 2014, and becoming a mother myself has given me such a new perspective for this little business of mine.
Gosh, I love this family. Not only have I been photographing them since the humble beginning of Courtney Malone Photography, but they are very dear friends, who have become more like family to us.
In celebration of the fact that it is BABY MONTH and that we are officially full term at 37 weeks, I wanted to share a tour of our baby girl’s little nursery. I have had so much fun putting this room together, and often find myself just standing in the room admiring her little things, and soaking in the smell of Dreft and fresh diapers. Gosh, those smells are just so good.
On a gorgeous early fall day, I met the Fackler family at Furman for some fall photos and time spent exploring the grounds of the gorgeous campus. I love this spot for photographs, and since dad is an alumni AND works for the university, it has extra special meaning to this family of four.
I’ve had the privilege to photograph the Geppi family a few times, starting last year when they were just a few months pregnant, to maternity photos this Spring, and now with their 5 month old son William! We did their maternity photos at a cute little park that is right in front of their home, and did some shots in front of their house as well, and we revisited that same spot to get some quick Fall photos of their growing family!
When it comes to babies, they say one is fun, two is work and three is insanity, but I can’t help but disagree…Three is absolutely beautiful, as evidenced by this gorgeous session with the Roberts family just 5 days after their newest family member, baby Benjamin, made his entrance into this world!
Big brother Jonah and big sister Charlotte were so proud of showing off their new baby brother, and were more than happy to smother him in kisses and show off his dark head of hair, and sweet little nose. I loved watching these little ones interact so lovingly with their mom and dad, each other and their baby brother.
This past weekend was absolutely gorgeous. There is nothing better than those first few days of fall when the air is cool, the mornings are crisp, and the changing of the seasons is upon us. Fall is absolutely my favorite season, and I am just so glad it’s here.
I got to enjoy the amazing weather we had this past weekend out at the Furman Rose Garden with Laura Anne and her boys Lee and Will. We spent some time exploring the garden, then went to see the ducks down by the water! The dreamy light and colors in their photographs are a major reason why I love this time of year. Aren’t they gorgeous?
I spent one of the last few Summer evenings of the year in downtown’s Falls Park with the Rickman’s last week, and we had so much fun exploring with Callie (4) and Ellie (2). These sisters are so darn sweet to each other, and were all about giving hugs and admiring the flowers together as we made our way through the park.
While I am SO excited for Fall and all it brings (hello pumpkin everything, gorgeous light and leaves, and oh… the arrival of our baby!), it was so fun to get in one more session in the summer sunlight. Aren’t these guys gorgeous!? I think so too!
