I’ve said it time and time again, but I will say it once more – Fresh 48’s are my absolute favorite.
Logan was the last babe I photographed in the hospital before welcoming my own daughter, and let me just say that after my own hospital experience, I have a new perspective on these precious sessions! Bless you mama’s who let me into such a life changing moment. The days in the hospital are blurry, at times overwhelming, and incredibly exhausting, but the sweetness and that falling in love feeling you have for your new baby are far greater than anything else.
I will admit, I was camera shy while in the hospital – being photographed when you are in the thick of such an emotionally and physically demanding time can feel daunting. We have this drive to always look perfect, made-up, and wearing just the right outfit before we get in front of a camera. I’m so guilty of this. But let me just tell you, I’ve never met a mama who hasn’t simply glowed in the days following the birth of their child. Seeing my own photos, as well as these photos we captured of baby Logan assures me that there is no need for make-up or fancy clothes to capture beauty in a photograph when there is this much love involved.
Lindsay was no different after welcoming baby boy #2. And big brother Connor was so darn cute as he held and loved on his baby brother! It just doesn’t get better than this!
