Sweet Charloote Grace came to the studio to commemorate her first birthday! I loved having her in for her heirloom portrait, and my “lifestyle add-on” offering, which is truly the best of both worlds.

This lifestyle newborn session was shot using off camera flash! If this suprises you – then good! Mission accomplished. I’ve been using flash for over four years now, and it’s my secret weapon for consistency. Not a fancy preset, not specific wardrobe or weather conditions – just my flash unit and the unique way I use it to create a natural light look.

Nash was a little hesitant of the camera at first, but once he warmed up he was ALL smiles! I loved photographing his joyful, oh so precous personality. A lot of little ones need a few minutes to warm up to the camera, which is natural and age appropriate, but we usually have so much fun together that they don’t want to leave when their sitting is over!

Eliza! She’s as joyful in person as she is in these beautiful heirloom portraits. Mom walked in and was so thankful we got a rainy, humid day for portraits because it made her precious curls SHINE! That’s the beauty of using studio lights… rain or shine, we get gorgeous portraist.
