If someone told me that I had to pick ONE kind of session, and it would be the only one I could conduct for the rest of my life, it would take me about .6 seconds to yell “Fresh 48”, and all the energy I could muster to somehow contain my excitement. This is what it’s all about for me. I can speak from experience that these first 48 hours after birth are hard. Physically, emotionally and mentally, they were the hardest hours of my life. Even as a photographer who loves Fresh 48 photos, the camera was the last thing I wanted to see in front of me. But when I look back at my own photos from after my daughter was born, I don’t see 36 hours of labor, a surprise c-section and 3 hours of sleep in as many days. I see love, tenderness, and the abundance of God’s miracles. I had the honor of capturing Fresh 48 memories for Stephanie (you may know her from the Olive & Tate blog!) a few weeks ago, and wow. To be a part of the moment when these sweet little babies met was so amazing. What a gift to be invited into that space, and to witness so much tenderness and unconditional love radiating from such a tiny little boy. Thank you, Stephanie, for allowing me to be a part of this amazing moment!
